Your deposit is refundable only if your cancellation is made no less than one week prior to the booked date. Sometimes "stuff happens" and you may be forced to cancel for reasons beyond your control. In these cases I can issue a "rain check" for your deposit to be used on a future cake. If I have actually begun to work on your cake, the deposit is non-refundable. 1. Cancellation and Refund Policy
I work individually with each client and every cake is made to order specifically for that particular customer. A cake is "booked" much the same as time is booked for any appointment that requires individual attention. Cakes are often booked months in advance but typically it is a good idea to book your cake two to four weeks, or more, before the date of your event. Booking your date and paying the required 40% deposit is the only way I can guarantee that your cake can be made for the date you choose. Since I can only take a limited number of bookings for each date, it sometimes happens that I am booked out for a certain date date and cannot accept more jobs, no matter how early the request is made. However, don’t hesitate to contact me even if your request is less than a week away as I sometimes have last minute openings. A typical order takes 4-5 days to complete from start to finish (the cake must be baked, filled, assembled, covered with fondant and finally decorated) so I am unable to do next day orders with the possible exception of cupcakes alone.
